  5. It's a pretty decent coffee. There's not much data on Red Butto, except that the trademark registration is registered by America's Drive-In, appears to just be a rebranding. Pretty good, nonetheless.http://www.trademarkia.com/red-button-roast-85748756.html

  6. I'm told it's Douwe Egberts Coffee rebranded as Red Button for Sonic. Not sure which blend of theirs it is though.

  7. I absolutely love it. Their coffee used to be sort of bland...but this is right up there with Starbucks !

  9. It tastes just like Douwe and Egberts. I love it but I wish they would go with the Dark European roast. That is my favorite from D&E

  19. Well I was purchasing red button roast 4 to 5 times daily here in Houston @ sonic! Yesterday I got the bitterest cup ever after returning it to sonic I was informed they are no longer selling it. I was also getting dewy Egbert coffee @ another location Huntsville Texas med center until I was told the price went up and they also quit selling it. If you don't know it's the blend that comes in the card board carton mixed buy the special machine, always fresh never scorched or bitter . Now I have no reason to visit sonic! So long sonic suckers!

    1. This is my exact story to a T! I was spending easily $60 a week at sonic for coffee alone....not to mention the additional money when I had other passengers (3 kids lol) I am now suffering greatly from withdrawal and was searching out info to find my favorite coffee again. But rightly so I have no use for Sonic any longer and have yet to find a substitute on the go that can hold to the same quality and standards. Green Mountain Smsh...

  20. So sad to hear! There was a Casino in Oklahoma that was serving Dewy Egbert. It no longer serves the Coffee as well. No fall back plan at this time. Will keep looking though. :-(

  21. Douwe Egbert's coffee premium prestige, has been cease at the sonic and no reason to buy coffee till they reinstate it if ever... The green mountain brand sucks and is bitter, raise the cost some to consumers or give them the choice to pay more for a good cup of joe (Douwe Egbert) than not to allow us the reason we buy Sonic coffee.. Guess will be buying packs of it online and putting in pod cups for the Keurig.... Sad day for us and a big loss for Sonic!

  22. Sonic is selling green mountain now. Does anyone know if they use a single cup (K cup) brew method, or do they use real grounds/filter and make a pot? I threw out my keurig because I hate K-cup coffee and now to hear about the switch Im wondering if I need to trek all the way to starbucks for my brew?

  23. Sonic's new coffee is terrible. They need to go back to Douwe Egbert.

  24. Very unhappy with the coffee change, Sonic went from having the best coffee in town to nothing special, I will no longer stop at Sonic for coffee either.

  25. I haven't been to a Sonic since they switched their coffee back in December. Sonic made me look a fool when I bought four coffees for a client's office to let them taste for themselves what I had been raving about for years. How embarrassing! I called the Sonic store to complain about the coffee and learned that they had been forced to buy new equipment and a different coffee brand. Sad day for black coffee drinkers.
