Maxwell House - Wake Up Roast

Here is a Medium Roast offered by Maxwell House.  Much like its main brand, this one tastes like it, makes a "Good Cup of Coffee", but at a cheaper price.  May need start getting this one over the more pricier blend!

  1. This is my go to coffee each morning. I have yet to find something as smooth and good tasting for the price.

  2. Great coffee for the price and especially to serve a large office constantly drinking coffee

  3. It is no comparison to the original Maxwell House. It takes like it has Chicory in it.

  4. I just dumped out a whole carafe. This tastes nothing like the original. I may try another pot & double the coffee used, but that defeats the price point now doesn't it? I f it's no better the whole can is going into the compost. It's awful. Worst coffee I have ever had & I brewed it precisely like "the original". I also got a strong metallic taste with it. I am not picky either...at all. I have never dumped a carafe in 20+ yrs until now.

  6. Just sent an email to Kraft about a large can I bought , , , , like the two anonymous above, sad to see the MH Brand reach this level. I hope t was not by design . . . .

  7. It does wake me up, due to the shock of how bad it tastes.

IMO, this lets you brew a pot of dirty water, not coffee.

  8. Not sure what happened; looks like back in 2013 this blend came in with good reviews. 2014 and 2015, we see others have thought otherwise... may need to try this one again and see what has changed. Currently, have a pound of Maxwell House Original Roast to finish. When done, will try the Wake Up Roast again.

    1. Yes, but we have not been able to purchase the Wake Up Roast at our local grocery stores. Have tried several places we frequent. None on the shelves... maybe it's a sign. Will keep on the lookout.
